C.A.P.E. is a partnership of government and civil society aimed at conserving and restoring the biodiversity of the Cape Floristic Region and the adjacent marine environment, while delivering significant benefits to the people of the region. A number of governance and co-ordination structures are in place to guide the programme.

The C.A.P.E. programme is co-ordinated by the C.A.P.E. Coordination Unit, through the South African National Biodiversity Institute and its fynbos bioregional programme.
