our partnership

There are currently 23 signatory partners to the C.A.P.E. Memorandum of Understanding. Partners include non-governmental organisations, national and provincial government departments and conservation agencies. All of them are committed to working towards a common strategy. The programme has a number of governance and co-ordination structures. The C.A.P.E. Co-ordination Unit is housed in SANBI.

The implementation of the C.A.P.E. programme is made possible through resources committed by government and other partners, and through support from international donors. Major funders include the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund and the Global Environment Facility through the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme. Many smaller projects are funded through the Table Mountain Fund.
